Last Updated: July 10, 2026
Welcome to Anonymix.dev (“Website”, “Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Anonymix.dev website, software, APIs, and any related services provided by us.
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Anonymix.dev provides a privacy-first anonymization API and software solutions designed to redact personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive data from data payloads (including JSON and XML). The Service may be offered via our cloud-hosted infrastructure or as self-hosted, on-premise software running on your own infrastructure.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the full legal capacity and authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent.
3. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account and provide an API key or credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, API keys, and configuration files.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.
4. License and Intellectual Property
- Our License to You: Subject to your compliance with these Terms and any applicable subscription or licensing agreements, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the API and use the software.
- Self-Hosted Software: If you utilize a self-hosted or on-premise deployment, your right to use the software executable or source code is strictly governed by the specific software license agreement accompanying the deployment.
- Ownership: Anonymix.dev retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, source code, algorithms, user interfaces, branding, and intellectual property rights. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service unless permitted by applicable law or specific software licenses granted by us.
5. Data Privacy and Processing
- Your Data: You retain ownership of all data, text, or payloads that you submit to the Service for anonymization ("Customer Data").
- Privacy-First Architecture: For self-hosted deployments, Customer Data is processed entirely on your own infrastructure; Anonymix.dev does not receive, view, or store your data payloads. For cloud-hosted API variants, data is processed ephemerally solely to perform the anonymization function and is not persistently retained on our servers.
- Compliance: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your collection, transfer, and processing of Customer Data complies with all applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or bypass the security or performance of the cloud infrastructure hosting the API.
- Abuse, overload, or flood the API in a manner that degrades service for other users (rate limits apply).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or decrypt any underlying proprietary anonymization rules or models without authorization.
7. Fees and Payment
Certain aspects of the Service may be provided for a fee or under a subscription model. You agree to pay all applicable fees as described on the website or in your specific service agreement. All payments are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. Failure to pay fees may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your access to the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANONYMIX.DEV DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ENTIRELY ACCURATE IN IDENTIFYING AND REDACTING ALL SENSITIVE DATA.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ANONYMIX.DEV, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
10. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect, either via an announcement on our website or a direct notification to your registered email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business interests.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Athens.
